Tiburon, CA · Marin County · Operator-owned fleet

Tiburon charter bus rental from the company that answers the phone.

Umbrella Global Bus keeps its coaches, minibuses and Sprinters at our own South San Francisco yard, about 35 minutes from Main Street on US-101 and the Golden Gate Bridge. No marketplace, no subcontractor, no 20–40% broker margin. On a peninsula with one road in and one road out, the staging plan matters more than the brochure, and you make it with our dispatcher.

Why it matters who owns the bus

Direct operator vs. national booking marketplace

Most sites ranking for "charter bus Tiburon" do not own a single vehicle. They resell operators like us and add a margin. Here is what changes when you skip that layer.

What Tiburon charters typically cost

Ranges are published so you can budget before you call. Your quote is itemized to the hour and the mile and does not change after you book unless the trip does.

Minibus, 24–35 passengers$150–$175/hr

Driver included. Five-hour minimum, so a half day runs $750–$875. Ferry drops, wedding loops, offsite dinner runs.

Motorcoach, 56 passengers$190–$245/hr

Driver included. Quoted per itinerary on top of the hourly rate because deadhead, tolls and return time change the total.

Recurring shuttle programContract rate

Standing routes for peninsula schools, clubs and employers, invoiced monthly with PO-based billing and net terms.

Always included: driver, fuel, standard insurance, live tracking. Quoted separately: tolls, parking, driver overnight on multi-day trips, gratuity if you choose to add it.

Tiburon FAQ

Answers from the people who dispatch the buses

How much does a charter bus cost in Tiburon?

A half-day (5-hour) 24-35 passenger minibus in Tiburon typically runs $750–$875 including driver. A 56-passenger motorcoach is quoted per itinerary because deadhead from our South San Francisco yard, the Golden Gate toll and staging time on a peninsula with one access road all affect the number.

Can you drop a group at the Angel Island ferry?

Yes. We drop at the Main Street terminal and then move the vehicle out, because there is no bus parking at the dock. Blackie's Pasture is the staging point, and the driver is back at the terminal before your return sailing lands.

Will a full-size motorcoach fit on Tiburon Boulevard?

It fits, but it is not always the smart choice. Tiburon Boulevard is the only way on and off the peninsula, and downtown has almost no room to hold a 45-foot vehicle. For anything under 35 passengers we send a minibus, and for larger groups we stage the coach at Strawberry and shuttle.

Do you handle late-night wedding returns?

Yes, and we quote the last run rather than hoping the party ends on time. The driver stays through the reception on an hourly basis, so a 10 pm shuttle and a midnight final run are on the same contract with no scramble at the end of the night.

Are you a broker or the actual bus company?

We are the operator. The buses are titled to Umbrella Global Transportation, the drivers are our employees, dispatch and the shop are ours, and we hold CPUC TCP 0037963 and USDOT 3126263. Nobody hands your trip to a stranger after you pay.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance for a Tiburon venue?

Yes, usually the same business day. Yacht clubs, the town and private estates here typically want to be named as certificate holder, and because we own the vehicles we issue the COI ourselves instead of chasing a subcontractor for it.
